Compass Greater NY LLC

Thomas was born and raised in Astoria before there were coffee shops and sushi restaurants on every street corner. He spent his youth engaging in the same activities as any other adolescent growing up in the city: hanging out at "the strip" in Astoria Park and hopping trains to the West Village, where he futilely tried to get a tattoo or piercing on St. Mark's Place (a practice he would not recommend to today's teenagers). Thomas earned his B.A. in Communications and Psychology from New York University, and an M.S. in Psychology from the CUNY Graduate Center. He then spent three years working as a psychologist within the Department of Education. However, his passion for the written word beckoned him to enroll in Columbia University's Journalism School, where he focused on print journalism. He freelanced for publications such as The Huffington Post and Buzzfeed before transitioning to real estate ten years ago.
